Cookie Policy

This cookie policy applies to the website of Schuifwand Wereld (hereinafter: "we", "us", "our"). In this policy, we explain which cookies we use, why we use them and how you can manage your preferences.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit our website. Cookies help our website remember information about your visit, such as your language preference and other settings. This makes your next visit easier and the website more useful to you.

In addition to cookies, we also use similar technologies, such as localStorage, to store certain preferences. In this policy, all these technologies are collectively referred to as "cookies".

2. Which cookies do we use?

We distinguish the following categories of cookies:

2.1 Necessary cookies

1 cookie

These cookies are strictly necessary for the functioning of the website. Without these cookies, the website cannot function properly. No consent is required for these cookies.

Name	Purpose	Retention	Type
`sessionId`	Manages your session on the website (login status, shopping cart).	24 hours	HTTP cookie

2.2 Functional cookies

2 cookies

These cookies remember your preferences and settings, so you have a better experience with each visit. These cookies are only placed after your consent.

Name	Purpose	Retention	Type
`cookie_consent`	Stores your cookie preferences so we don't have to ask again each time.	12 months	localStorage
`language`	Remembers your chosen language setting (Dutch or English).	Unlimited	localStorage

2.3 Analytics cookies

1 cookie

Only if you consent to analytics cookies do we store a random visitor ID in your browser. It lets us recognise a later visit and see which pages and products you looked at before. We use it solely for our own statistics; the data is not shared with third parties and is deleted after 13 months. If you withdraw your consent, the visitor ID is removed from your browser right away.

Name	Purpose	Retention	Type
`va_vid`	Random visitor ID that lets us recognise a later visit from the same browser.	13 months	localStorage

2.4 Marketing cookies

We currently do not place any marketing cookies. Should we use marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent.

No cookies in this category.

2.5 Embedded videos (YouTube)

Our homepage shows videos hosted on YouTube. As long as you do not click the play button, nothing is requested from YouTube — you only see a still image and no cookies are placed.

If you do click play, we load the video through youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. At that point YouTube may process data and place cookies or similar technologies on your device. That processing is governed by the Google/YouTube privacy policy.

No cookies in this category.

3. How can you manage cookies?

When you visit our website for the first time, we ask for your consent to place non-essential cookies via our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" button, which you can find at the bottom of the page.

You can also manage cookies through your internet browser settings. In most browsers, you can accept, refuse or delete cookies. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website.
