Clear vs Tinted Glass

Which glass type suits your situation?

Clear or tinted glass — which suits your situation? Clear glass gives maximum light and view. Tinted glass offers more privacy and better heat rejection. As standard, 10 mm (premium) tempered safety glass is used.

10 mm tempered safety glass — premium standard

Clear Glass (Transparent)

Clear glass is fully transparent and offers maximum light transmission and unobstructed view. It is the most popular choice when you do not want to affect the view.

Pros

  • Maximum view and light transmission
  • Spacious effect — makes small spaces larger
  • Slightly lower price than tinted glass
  • Fits any style and colour scheme

Tinted Glass — The Options

Tinted glass is glass with a subtle colour tint that offers more privacy. We offer five tints, each with their own character:

Grey Tinted Glass

Grey tinted glass is the most popular tint. It gives a neutral, modern appearance and noticeably reduces light transmission.

Bronze Tinted Glass

Bronze tinted glass gives a warm, golden-brown tint. Fits particularly well with wooden constructions and warm facade tones.

Blue Tinted Glass

Blue tinted glass gives a cool, fresh appearance. Fits well with modern architecture and silver/grey profiles.

Green Tinted Glass

Green tinted glass gives a subtle, calming tint. Fits particularly well with green environments (gardens, parks).

Frosted / Satin Glass

Frosted glass is fully opaque and lets light through without a view. The best choice for maximum privacy. Satin glass gives a modern and calm appearance.
